"Why Working Together Doesn't Always Work"

I stumbled across this article today and found it to be quite intriguing. It illuminated that fact that collaboration does not always work. We realize as educators when attempting to get students to be productive in group work, when we try to assess group work when we know all have not contributed equally, and when we try to teach students to work together collaboratively. I am a huge fan of collaboration, I just found this article interesting in that it supports the 'other side' of the discussion.
