Curriculum is developed through a rigorous collaborative process that requires consultation on many levels. Educators are tasked with delivering content that, arguably, should be infused with history. While there is much to be learned from history, whether it be to inform the present or future, or to learn from previous mistakes and successes, we need to consider the fact that history is subjective. History is a 'story' that has been retold several times. Just like we need to be critical consumers of media, we also need
to be critical consumers of history and historical context. It is important to consider the past while pursuing innovation in teaching and learning, but how do we move those colleagues that are arguably, 'stuck' in the history, or the past? We talk about engaging students through innovation, how do we engage colleagues to provide the most innovative, 'history infused' learning environment for our students?
